During our Little Dragons program, we don’t train martial arts, we “play” martial arts. It is our goal to teach kids the various physical and mental skills that will prepare them for more intense training when they are older, as well as develop positive habits to take with them out of the dojo.

Physical Fitness

During the program, we are not looking to train little fighters. We use martial arts moves and games to help kids learn their bodies and build skills like:

  • Coordination and fine motor skills

  • Core strength

  • Balance

  • Speed

  • Reaction time

We make sure the activities the kids are doing are martial arts related and develop skills that will translate effectively as they get older. Some of the “games” we play are just fun, simpler versions of techniques they learn at the older age groups to set them up for success as they get older.

Mental Fitness

Through our structured classes, our young students will work on various mental skills such as:

  • Focus

  • Self-control

  • Courtesy

  • Respect

  • Discipline

Even at this young age, we have short, age-appropriate talks to start connecting the values of the martial arts to their life outside the school these topics include:

  • Kindness

  • Overcoming Challenges

  • Having a Positive Mindset

  • Showing Respect to Others

  • Having an Attitude of Gratitude

Overall we look to be part of the "village" that raise happy and healthy kids.
